It was a team effort that Chennai Super Kings displayed in South Africa.Dhoni previously,won the first edition of icc t20 cup.Well south africa is the place where he came to limelight.His leadership in the young team earned him a spot in the team INDIA.well with this leadership quality he his proving to be one of the best captain india ever had.just consider if BCCI 'd 've not taken the risk in naming him captain for the young which lacked experience or good players.well three cheers for BCCI for this brave decision and recognising a good player like dhoni

well talking about the team effort.each player proved his buck and coped really well in the tournament

Ravichandran Ashwin

ashwin who normally opened the bowling in IPL matches did the same.once it proved to be wrong.Victorians dint respect him and paid him the price.Aaron Finch took him straight away without letting him to settle.Anyway ashwin was the one who had the last laugh.however dhoni had great trust in him and selected him to bowl the superover.His inexperience was tested and lost his cool.He came with the bang in the next couple of matches with a good bowling strike rate and economy.He was awarded the GOLDEN WICKET of the tournament and played a major role in the progress of chennai and morover not to forget he played a bit of a role in the only defeat as well.



Suresh Raina

Two blistering innings was out of words.He was seeing it like a BEACHBALL.lots of sixes in his belt.I'm amazed he does not seem to 've biceps or whatsover,but he hits the ball out a mile.The innings against wayamba was special as he attacked the spinner mendis(mystery bowler) and scoring 28 runs in a single over.However he plunged the Bangalore by taking the spin head KUMBLE.His batting was devastating for the opposition team.He took CSK to the 200 mark in the tournament.CSK was the only team to score 200 in the tournament.In the match against VICTORIA he proved be a handy bowler taking 4 wickets on the trot



Murali Vijay

The middle order batsmen in the previous edition of IPL was discovered to be a opening batsmen with his batting technique.He scored 3 half centuries at a brisk rate.However he was accustomed to play through the on side mostly in the tournament
He was awarded the GOLDEN BAT.Started slowly but attacked very well.



Mahendra Singh Dhoni

Came up the order only in a couple of times.He gave chance for the younger players.Made a mark against the WARRIORS in the league matches.Scored 17 runs in a over.That innings from him took CSK to a defendable TOTAL.In the final he promoted himself to study the ship and scored the winning runs for CSK



Albie Morkel

Bowled a unplayable spell against the RCB.He was the one who restricted the RCB to up the anti-.He was injured and thats a execuse i guess


Justin Kemp
He took the place of albie.Took two marvellous catches in a match which one was the turning point of the match.Survived his wicket for MS Dhoni to retain strike.bowled decently.Played his part well replacing the allrounder albie morkel


Laxmipathy Balaji

A wicket taking bowler bowled a good line in the first two matches he played.But was a bit wayward against the VICTORIANS.Anyhow dhoni made the replacement with raina.In the final he brought the run rate down but ended very badly.Altogether a decent bowler chennai 'd like to 've



Muttiah Muralitharan

His spells were the brutal ones in the tournament.Took 2 wickets in a over twice in the his spells.His overs were the turning point for CSK in couple of occasions.He bowled the last over against the WARRIORS in the league taking CSK to the semifinals.


Shadab Jakati
Played him the slow track where CSK went with three spinners operating on the trot.His only wicket was the brutal JACOBS who was taking his team to win the match.Jakati provided the breaks for him.It was one good spell to remember


Dougie Bollinger

without him CSK 'd be short of a seam bowler.He was the Seam head of the CSK bowling department.His economy rate was the one which impressed everyone.This was the factor of getting wickets.The batsmen loosing his patience and going after the bowler.CSK 'd definetely want to miss him in the next season.



Subramanium Badrinath

He dint get many opportunities.But grabbed his single opportunity.He was the one who took CSK to a decent total in the opening match.His innings was special under strange circumstances where the ball was seaming and moving a lot.



Anirudh Srikanth

His innings in the opening match was a unforgetable one.His fathers Style in him was reborn.He was the one to counterattack after the wickets have fallen.Took risks and was provided with good results.


Mike hussey

He was a good replacement for the Big matthew hayden.He played 3 innings in which he scored his runs run a ball.He was not only relying on boundaries but the amount the doubles he ran were more.scored 2 stylish half centuries
